Springbreak

It is technically spring break here so I'm not working a ton of hours. I am coming in to lab everyday but I'm not staying late and I'm reading for fun in my spare time. Yesterday after actually getting some things done I went to the library and checked out 4 books. I read one yesterday, the third in a series I had started a long time ago. I got the first one from a friend and really enjoyed it but the sequels were always checked out. So now I've read the third one and I'm going to start in on the fourth one tonight.

I also went to the gym today! I haven't been in far too long, although I was doing workout videos from time to time at home. I hope this helps me get back in the groove of going several times a week.

As far as spring breaks go I've never had an exotic one. As a kid we went to our grandparents houses, both in Michigan. A couple of times we went to a city to tour museums for the week (Washington DC, Chicago, etc) One year when it was just me and my youngest sister at home we went to Galveston, TX. It was supposed to be warm and sunny. It ended up being colder than our home midwest state (a record low for them!) and rainy the whole week. Plus I remember our water cooler leaked and soaked everything packed in the back of our Dodge van. We had to take the carpet out of the whole van and stretch out over picnic tables to dry. We went wading in the ocean wearing jackets but couldn't go out too far. It was cold and there were hundreds of jelly fish washing ashore. My mom was cranky because although we had a great camping spot right by the beach, the gulls were very loud at about 4 am everyday. Not the best beach by far, but we did see the Houston space museum and later went up to Dallas where it was a bit warmer.

So I'm working but also having fun this week!
