attempting a post?

Ok this might not make sense, it is almost midnight and I have been here well over 14 hours. My eyes are tired. I was really excited because I finally got this one bit of data to work after redoing it at least 5 times! It was important though as it serves as my baseline. I started to try to analyze my other data, and now I am getting a bunch of negative numbers. I am using the same formulas I did before but this seems strange. I'm quiting before I do all of it and then have to redo all of it. Maybe tommorrow my PI can help me figure it out. I really need something to go right so that I have something to put on my abstract-ARGH! I really want to go to this conference but the deadline is Monday and I am running out of time.

Earlier today I met with a student to discuss her final. She had not gotten the grade she wanted and didn't believe it, so I went over the exam with her. She was so huffy though, she kept sighing and being pouty. She missed three questions in a row that I know I warned them all about and wrote on the board! It isn't my fault she couldn't study. I didn't get hints like that from my TA's. I wanted to be rude, I mean technically my responsibilities have ended, I had a take home final due at 5pm today that I was in the middle of and I have all of this data that will not cooperate! But, I wasn't. Grr to people who are rude though.

ok I am going home.

Hope your data works out. Sorry about the huffy student. My worst cases this quarter: the guy who never comes to my lab but then drops in on other sections as "make up" claiming that I said it was ok. Um, no.

As far as re-grades: Let's assume the question was "Tell me why the sky is NOT orange."
Student gives all the correct pieces to the answer, but then wraps it up by saying "that's why the sky IS orange." Sorry kid, that negates your whole answer! I don't care if you were in a rush...
