Time away

So, since I haven't blogged in over a week you would think I had a mountain of success w/ being productive, but after today's meeting with my PI I think I have about twice as many things to get done then I did before. Arg! Does this never end? I suppose not since there always something that needs to be tweaked, and or finished, read, written, or edited. I thought I was working on my last three brain areas for a while but now I have 4 more new ones! Will I ever finish this blasted project?! It is especially wrenching as my labmate is submitting a paper to a high profile journal today as first author- he got a kick ass project that turned into this amazing data set. Meanwhile I have been stuck in this hell hole plodding on and on because if/ when I finish I can have a publication, which certaintly won't be in such a high journal however. Of course my author list will be shorter but that doesn't really matter.....


In other matters I enjoyed a nice Valentines Day and got to suprise my Eman w/ chocolates, a CD and a gift card to go towards his new TV that he wants. We had already gone to dinner at our favorite pricey place on Sat. night, so last night we went for pizza at our favorite pub joint and brought a friend along as well.

Tonight I'm headed to the gym then I have some reading to do and finally I'll watch Project Runway yay! I hate that Nick got booted last week -booo Santino he should have been kicked to the curb for that raunchy lingerie he made ages ago! Oh well I suppose I should stay and do surgeries or take more ROIs but I just don't have the heart for it tonight.
