Back at work

I'm taking a break from work. I'm back and working on taking ROIs boy are those tedious! Plus it is a new brain area so I'm constantly checking my atlas to be sure I'm within bounds of my structure. It is so grey here today I just don't want to work. Plus I bought this awesome 3D puzzle for my grandma who didn't want it so I kept it and am doing it myself. I honestly thought she would like something else to work on through the winter- oh well. I brought her some Jim Beam from up north instead which I know she likes :)

I spent Christmas w/ my future in laws and had a relaxing time. However, I went out to sort of a mini reunion party last Friday and had some wine sneak up on me! I got so sick it was really bad, I had had a comparable number of drinks a few weeks ago and was fine, no hang over- nothing. But this time holy cow, I just wasn't really feeling anything so I guess I might have had an extra glass or two. Yikes. In the morning, it is not a good idea to be at your parents house and vomiting straight stomach acid 5 times! My fiance really wanted to hit the road to head to his parents but we didn't leave until 1pm as I was still puking. He got the car all loaded up and everything, I put my coat on to go and headed downstairs, but I ran to the bathroom, I had to puke one more time. To top of my icky stomach and headache I had the worst cramps in the world. I couldn't get into a comfortable position, but I couldn't take any pain meds. Luckily, I did not have to use the bowl I brought w/ me in the car and was able to doze for a short while. I still felt rather icky when we made it to his parents, and his mom made this fantastic Christmas eve dinner of which I ate very little of and had to pass on the cheesecake too :( I guess I deserved that though. Anyway, I will definetly be watching myself carefully on New Year's Eve- I do not need a repeat! The only good thing about feeling crappy for a few days in a row is that I did not overeat thus did not gain any weight over the holiday. :)

For Christmas I was suprised at how generous his family was with the gifts- they didn't need to go that far, but it was nice. His grandma even got me my own ornament, which is special because she gets my fiance and his sister one every year. It was a wedding bell from India, that she got when she was there, which made me feel very included.

Well I suppose I should get back to work. blah
