now i have too
Well I officially asked 4 faculty members to serve on my dissertation committee so now I have to actually finish writing my prospectus. I told them I was aiming for a meeting in September so now I actually have to get my writing butt in gear.
I did hand in my draft of my paper today though Yay! I love that feeling. Even though I know I will have revisions to make (I mean it is just a rough draft) and even though I haven't made the figures yet, I feel good. How could I write with out the figures? Well I actually have about 30 graphs and three gigantic tables so I really need to figure out which ones to pick to actually make into the 'real' figures. Narrow it down and clean it up! But sometimes making figures can be fun so tomorrow I will tackle that.

That's another thing to check off of the list...Getting closer every day.
Congrats on getting the paper done. I'm still plugging away on this stupid paper and will be so happy when I can get it out of my hair for a few weeks.
Sorry to hear about the flooding. I've experienced a few episodes of flooding myself and I know how much water can distroy things.

I just wanted to say thanks for stopping by our blog and supporting us in education. It was hard to switch majors, but education was always on the back burner for us. (Our Mom always said what about teaching, lol!!)
I'm curious about your dissertation. What will your degree be in and what do you hope to do when you are done with school? You must be so happy to be almost done. Let us know and good luck with your dissertation!

psychgrad- yes handing in a paper is always a relief
science sisters-
I don't want to tell what my exact degree will be in because it would give me away, but it fits under the umbrella of Neuroscience and behavior. After I'm done I will look for a post doctoral fellowship, and then possibly a spot in academia somewhere. Lots of people do two post docs these days, so we'll see. I still have a long way to go, because I hope to finish in Fall of 2009.
