Sad news... but hopeful?

Well I was going to try to write more often this week but I just got sidetracked.
Two Saturday nights ago a close family friend, who is almost like a little sister tried to take her own life. Thankfully she was not successful and is now out of the hospital and in her parents care. Her husband had to report to National Guard duty so couldn't be there to watch her at night. It just breaks my heart. I hope now she will get all the help she needs. Apparently she was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Only no one knew but her and her spouse. Their one year wedding anniversary was also this last week. It just came as such a shock because she has never been the "moody" one, or the "sad" one. I sent a card but it is hard to know what to say. I know her family will be there for her so I'm thankful for that.

In other news:
That same weekend I was in Chicago for an awesomely fun bridal shower/ bachelorette party day. Fun to meet all of the bridesmaids (there are 8 of us :) fun eating, drinking, game playing etc.

This last weekend E and I went furniture shopping and booked our honeymoon! Finally! We didn't find the furniture yet, E is very particular... (him: "I don't like the height on that, that isn't dark enough, I don't like those handles"... etc) Who knew he would be more picky than I? I guess that is good, this will be a costly investment and we should get nice, durable and good looking stuff, especially if we are keeping it for a long while. For the honeymoon we booked an all inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. I was hesitant to do the all inclusive at first, but a week of relaxation and snorkeling sounds fantastic.
